According to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, in the first seven months of this year, China’s total import and export value was 23.55 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%. Reflected in the export of labor-intensive industries, in the first seven months of this year, China exported 2.34 trillion yuan of labor-intensive products, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%, of which the export of textile and clothing products both declined.

Specifically, in the first seven months of this year, the total value of China’s textile and apparel imports and exports was 1,221.52 billion yuan, of which textile yarns, fabrics and their products were imported 44.33 billion yuan, a decrease of 9.3% over the same period last year; textile yarns, fabrics and their products The cumulative export of products was 546.05 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.7% over the same period last year; the cumulative export of clothing and clothing accessories was 631.14 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.1% over the same period of last year.

In terms of US dollars, in the first seven months of this year, the total value of China’s textile and apparel imports and exports was 176.19 billion US dollars, of which textile yarns, fabrics and their products imported 6.399 billion US dollars, a decrease of 15.3% over the same period last year; textile yarns, fabrics and their products The accumulative export of products was 78.849 billion US dollars, a decrease of 11.9% over the same period last year; the accumulative export of clothing and clothing accessories was 90.942 billion US dollars, a decrease of 8.3% over the same period of last year.

From a month-on-month perspective, since July this year, China’s textile imports and clothing exports have both achieved single-digit growth. Among them, the total value of China’s textile and apparel imports and exports in July was 201.56 billion yuan, of which the import of textile yarns, fabrics and their products was 7.57 billion yuan, an increase of 7.52% from the 7.04 billion yuan in June; the export of textile yarns, fabrics and their products was 79.78 billion yuan. 100 million yuan, a decrease of 1% from 80.59 billion yuan in June; the export of clothing and clothing accessories was 114.21 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9% from 107.5 billion yuan in June.
